Niki de Saint Phalle and her Nanas in Hanover

It started as a protest in year 1974 and has become one of the main landmakrs in Hanover

Her magnificent Nanas are over looking at the Leibniz shore, which is at the river Leine. Every Satruday Sophie, Charlotte and Carolina have the best view to the biggest Flea market. Niki de Saint Phalle became a honorary citizen on 17th November 2000 and is the only one who carries tihis title in Hanover. She gave more than 400 of her work to the Sprengel Museum.

Onla after her death, the blue grotto was built as amount at Herrenhausen Garden.
